Sattelbauer

A Winterbauer classic for our guests - you either start directly at our hotel or drive to Pertilbauer and then use the bike path or hike through the forest to the Sattelbauer. There you will find the rustic mountain lodge of the cousin of our senior boss Hans - the resemblance is indisputable.
Lackenkogel 2.050 m

If you want to go a little higher, you can tackle our “house mountain”, the mountain that is most prominently connected with our hotel. After you visit the peak on 2050 meters above sea level you will proudly be able to recount the hiking stories while you sit on our terrace and look up at it again. On the way there you’ll not only pass the Sattelbauer, but also have the chance to stop at the idyllic Lackenalmen for some fresh butter milk.
Path of Good Wishes

Another version of the Sattelbauer visit is the Path of Good Wishes. You can use the hotel as a starting point yet again and turn onto the path of good wishes at the Triglbauer. The path is guided with wonderfully designed affirmation signs that remind hikers to embrace life and nature with mindfulness. The circular hiking trail is designed to start originally in Flachau, but can also be modified and started at the hotel.

In summer you can access the breathtaking 360° panoramic circular route with the Space Jet 1 & 2 chairlift (one ride included with the Flachau guest card). The round-trip hiking trail is also suitable for children with appropriate caution.
Marbachalm

A leisurely hike in the picturesque Marbachtal for everyone - also suitable for strollers! The starting point is the end of the valley in Flachauwinkl (approx. 15 minutes by car), where you can park your car at the Marbachtal car park. Mountain lodges Prechtlhütte, Ennslehenhütte and Anichhofhütte are perfect for a little break & refreshments!
Südwienerhütte
hiking time: approx. 1:30 h
The Südwienerhütte can be reached from several hiking routes. You can either start in Flachauwinkl (parking near the Tauernalm chapel) or in Untertauern at the Gnadenalm (both approx. 20 minutes drive by car). Starting at the Südwienerhütte you can continue to various peaks such as the Steinfeldspitze, Spazeck or the Glöcknerin.
Tauerkarleiten
hiking time: ca. 2 h
The cozy mountain hut is run by Grandma Theresia’s brother - Michael and his wife Veronika. Mountain views and alpine delights are promised. Be sure to take a look at the Rauchkuchl - the smokey interior of the hut. You can either start the climb in Zauchensee or at the Gnadenalmen.

Riesch waterfall Schladming / Rohrmoos
Two valleys share the great treasure of water: in the Untertal you can let the stream of the Untertalbach guide you through the mountains - from the wildly romantic Talbachklamm via the Toteisboden to the Tettermoor. The alpine trail “Höllenschlucht” (hell’s canyon) is not for the faint of heart; it leads past the breathtaking Riesach Waterfalls up to the 50-meter-long suspension rope bridge. High alpine hiking trails and 300 mountain lakes await in the area - including a remarkable selection of tours!
Path of Country Lore

Farmer’s smarts are a valued trait and well of wisdom in the countryside: Sayings and rules from farm life and nature are examined more closely here. A half-day trip that leads through the wisdom and origins of the farmers’ weather forecasts and provides a beautiful view of the Alps in Pongau between fir and pine. Refreshments available at the Berggasthof Habersatt and Reitlehenalm.
