The historic city of Salzburg is ideal for a day trip. After an approx. 60-minute drive or a leisurely train or bus ride, you can enjoy a walk through the Getreidegasse. The Fortress Hohensalzburg (https://www.salzburg-burgen.at/de/festung-hohensalzburg/) is worth a visit too - from there you can marvel at the small and quaint city from above. Another highlight is Mozart’s birth house, the composer who was famously born and raised in Salzburg.
Salzburg boasts beautiful corners everywhere, narrow winding streets with brick pavements and authentic coffee houses. You can also soak up the magical energy of this small city with a walk through the Mirabell Gardens or along the Salzach.
Visits to the various museums in Salzburg, such as the Museum der Moderne, DomQuartier Salzburg, the Residenzgalerie or House of Nature; are great for rainy days.
Eisriesenwelt

The Eisriesenwelt (ice cave) in Werfen is an adventurous destination in our immediate vicinity. Equipped with portable lamps you walk through the legendary and largest ice cave in the world and marvel at the natural ice sculptures while a guide leads the way through the glittering ice world explaining the scientific and historical backgrounds of this special place.
Castle Hellbrunn

A surprisingly playful castle is in Hellbrunn, a 50-minute drive from the hotel. A historic place known for its water features and mystical grottoes, with water-powered sculptures and trick fountains, ideal for warm summer days.
Fortress Hohenwerfen

The 900-year-old Fortress Hohenwerfen is best known for its spectacular falcon flight demonstrations. A bird of prey nature-trail and a falconry museum give more insight into this historical tradition at this special place.
